Served Hot: Lufthansa Expands Its 'Onboard Delights' Catering Offer

Lufthansa is enhancing its Onboard Delights catering program to give passengers more choice and personalization starting 1 September 2026.

Economy Class – Short & Medium-Haul
- New five hot meals available exclusively via pre-order (from 4 weeks to 24 hours before departure).
- Offered on continental routes with flight times of 2+ hours.
- Menu includes:
- Beef roulade with potato dumplings (served with dessert)
- Chicken teriyaki (served with dessert)
- Tortellini in tomato sauce with zucchini (served with dessert)
- “Die Echte” currywurst from Dönninghaus (served with roll)
- Cheeseburger from “HANS IM GLÜCK”

Business Class – Long-Haul
- Since 2023, passengers departing Frankfurt & Munich could pre-select their main course.
- From September 2026, this expands to most long-haul flights returning to Germany.
- Choice increases from 3 to 6 main courses, available for pre-selection 4 weeks to 24 hours before departure.
