IndiGo will begin bi-weekly non-stop flights between Guwahati and Bangkok starting 27 October 2026, marking its first international operations from Northeast India.
Inaugural flight: 27 October 2026 (Tuesday)
- Bangkok → Guwahati: 6E 1086, departs 08:50, arrives 10:25
- Guwahati → Bangkok: 6E 1085, departs 18:15, arrives 22:45
Regular schedule (from 31 October 2026):
- Operates every Wednesday and Saturday with the same timings.
Expansion:
IndiGo will also start Gaya–Bangkok flights on 26 October 2026, connecting a major Buddhist pilgrimage site directly to Thailand.
Impact:
Strengthens Guwahati as an international gateway, boosting tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between Northeast India and Southeast Asia.
Network context:
IndiGo already connects Bangkok from major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and more, plus direct flights to Phuket and Krabi.
This is a milestone for Northeast India, as Guwahati joins IndiGo’s international map for the first time, opening up easier access to Thailand for both leisure and business travellers.
