Circular Railway restrictions in Kolkata on 15–19 September 2026
As requested by the State administration, Eastern Railways’ Sealdah Division has planned to regulate the Circular Railway train services from 15.09.2026 (Tuesday) to 19.09.2026 (Saturday) for immersion of idols of Lord Ganesh & Lord Biswakarma. Consequently, following arrangement in train running has been made:

Diversions via Kankurgachhi Road Jn – Ballygunge – Majherhat

- 30317 (via Ballygunge Jn – Kankurgachhi Road)
Short Termination at Majherhat

Context
- Restriction period: 15–19 September 2026 (Tuesday–Saturday).
- Reason: Immersion of Lord Ganesh & Lord Biswakarma idols, which typically draws large crowds along riverbanks and near rail corridors.
- Aim: To ensure safe crowd management and avoid congestion on Circular Railway routes during immersion days.
