flydubai announced the launch of its dedicated freighter operations, marking a significant milestone in the carrier's diversification strategy and reinforcing Dubai's position as a global logistics and trade hub.
Dedicated Freighter Operations
- Starting 1 October 2026, flydubai will operate three Boeing 737-800 freighters via wet-lease from SolitAir.
- Each aircraft adds 23,000 kg payload capacity per flight, complementing belly-hold cargo on its 98 passenger 737s.
- Future growth: 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners on order, plus potential passenger-to-freighter retrofits from 2029.
