KIAF Creates New Sporting Pathways for Girls from Rural Government Schools

The Kempegowda International Airport Foundation (KIAF) partnering with KEMP Excellence Foundation is a big step toward empowering girls in rural government schools through structured football training.

Programme Highlights
- Duration: 3 years, fully subsidised.
- Participants: 100 girls across 8 batches.
- Coaching: AIFF‑certified coaches, 2 sessions per week, 40 sessions per season.
- Support: Training kits, boots, stockings, match balls, and equipment provided.
- Focus: Physical conditioning, technical skills, positional awareness, plus confidence, discipline, teamwork, and aspiration.

Early Impact
- Competitive debut at Padukone Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence.
- At the Taluk Level Girls’ Football Tournament 2026–27:
- GHPS Bettakote crowned Taluk Champions.
- GMPGS Vijayapura finished runners‑up.
- All 18 players from these schools qualified for the Bengaluru District Level Tournament.

Wider Reach
- KIAF currently supports 7 government schools, reaching ~3,000 students through its flagship education (Namma Shikshana) and health (Namma Aarogya) programmes.
- Plans to expand the football initiative to more neighbouring schools, opening pathways for rural girls to progress to inter‑school fixtures, youth leagues, and even state/national tournaments.

This is a great example of how CSR initiatives can blend sports, education, and empowerment, giving young girls both opportunity and visibility.
