Vietnam Airlines Strengthens Presence in Belgium Through Partnership with APG Inc

Vietnam Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with APG Inc and renewed its General Sales Agent (GSA) agreement. The partnership aims to strengthen the airline's presence in Belgium and support travel growth between Vietnam and Belgium.

Strategic Objectives
- Expand Vietnam Airlines' brand visibility in Belgium.
- Develop sales, marketing and customer engagement activities.
- Strengthen tourism, trade and business links between the two countries.

Growing Travel Demand
- Around 45,000 passenger movements were recorded between Vietnam and Belgium in the first eight months of 2026, an increase of 41% year-on-year.
- Hanoi-Brussels: Approximately 23,000 passengers, up 76%.
- Ho Chi Minh City-Brussels: Approximately 17,000 passengers, up 21%.

Rising Interest in Vietnam
- Belgian travellers are increasingly exploring destinations beyond Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, including:
- Da Nang
- Nha Trang
- Phu Quoc
- Demand is growing for multi-destination itineraries combining culture, nature and coastal tourism.

Connectivity Enhancement
- Vietnam Airlines will leverage its extensive European network to provide convenient connections from Belgium to Vietnam.
- Currently operates 12 non-stop routes linking Vietnam with eight hubs across seven European countries.
- Operates 46-48 flights per week on these routes.

Leadership Perspective
- Chairman Dang Ngoc Hoa said the partnership will strengthen Vietnam Airlines' position in Belgium and Europe while supporting tourism, trade and investment between Vietnam and international markets.
