DMRC Extends Real-Time Coach Occupancy Display to Pink Line

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has expanded its real-time coach occupancy display system to the Pink Line (Line-7: Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar/Maujpur-Babarpur). The feature was previously available on the Magenta Line (Line-8: Botanical Garden-Janakpuri West) since 2022.

How the System Works

- Occupancy levels are calculated and displayed coach-wise (C1 to C6) on platform Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) screens before train arrival.
- The implementation on the Pink Line required complex data integration due to its circular route structure.
